If you're temporarily stuck without your Mac, you can still enter some Javascript bookmarklets directly on your iPhone, with a little trouble:
  1. Turn on Settings ยป Airplane Mode.
  2. Launch Safari and tap OK on dismiss the "Turn off Airplane Mode" dialog.
  3. Enter your the bookmarklet in the location bar.
  4. Dismiss the "Safari can't open the page" dialog.
  5. Bookmark the page.
  6. Turn off Airplane mode.
This works for bookmarklets that set the location property, and perhaps others as well. When Safari aborts the script because it can't open the page, it leaves the bookmarklet in the address field, allowing it to be bookmarked.
