Zevrix Solutions today released BatchOutput Server 4.2, an update to its output workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. The software automates printing and exporting to PDF and PostScript by processing InDesign files from watched hotfolders. BatchOutput Server automates, simplifies, and streamlines output workflows of publishing houses, printers, prepress service providers and ad agencies. The new version allows users to keep entire job folders after output for further processing.

Excel Software has enhanced the WebActivation system to activate software licenses. WebActivation is a self-hosted software license server used to activate QuickLicense protected applications or documents. WebActivation 1.1 adds a DLL replacement of all EXE files and enhancements to easily utilize the new activation, release and restore features introduced in QuickLicense 4 without requiring a web browser on the client computer.

START MOBILE today announced the launch of the Pride mobile art gallery for the iPhone. The Pride Wallpaper Gallery features sixteen rainbow images created by digital artist Samala. At the request of the artist, 100% of START MOBILE revenues from this mobile gallery are being donated to The Courage Campaign. The mobile art wallpapers are optimized for display on the iPhone, and all the images can be ‘flipped’ to reveal additional information about the artist.

BCC 6 AVX is based on Avid’s AVX 2 plug-in architecture with support for Avid Media Composer, Avid NewsCutter and Avid Symphony. BCC 6 AVX adds nearly 200 plug-in filters to Avid editing and finishing systems. A special AVX 1 version of BCC 6 AVX for Avid DS will be released in the near future.
